Cubism

Cubism is an early 20th-century style and movement in art, especially paintings, in which perspective with a single viewpoint was abandoned and use was made of simple geometric shapes, interlocking planes, and later collage.

David Hockney

These pieces by David Hockney are very inspirational. I was always so fascinated when photographers would join many pictures together to create a photograph of something.

Here is a few of his pieces..

Diptychs and Triptychs

Diptychs are when two images that are the same photograph or two different photographs placed side by side to create one artistic statement.

Printing on Tile

One of my self-portraits, that I made in photography class, I wanted to work with tile because I got inspired by another's piece of work.
I began by printing out a picture of my choice on Waterslide Decal Paper for Laser Printers. After printing the paper I placed it in warm water to get the transparent paper to slide off so that I could then transfer it on my tile and simply cut the paper as it was drying on the tile.

Famous Artist's Self-Portraits

These are a few Self-Portraits that I though were very beautiful.

The silhouette of the women is by far my favorite. I would like to take photos like that for my next project.
